Duane H. “Grizz” Kastning, 68, of Belvidere, IL passed away suddenly, Monday, May 3, 2021. Grizz was born March 16, 1953, the son of Harvey H. and Isabel (Fry) Kastning. He married Trina Holmes on March 26, 2021 in Belvidere, IL. Grizz worked as a skilled tradesman for Chrysler for 43 years. Grizz loved all things dealing with hunting and fishing as well as getting his car washed. Grizz never met a stranger he didn’t know and was known for his loving personality. He cherished the time spent with family and will be missed by all.

Grizz is loved and missed by his wife, Trina; children, Duane (Crystal) Kastning Jr., Emily Holmes, Derek Holmes; siblings, Fred (Donna) Kastning, Ray (Jane) Kastning, Boyd (Kathy) Kastning, Belva (Kurt) Camp; brother-in- law, Danny Huff as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Eileen Kastning and Jeanette Huff.

The walk-through visitation will take place 4:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 10, 2021 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave. Belvidere, IL 61008. Services will be private, but live streamed 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 11, 2021 on Grizz’s obituary page at www.AndersonFCS.com. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials to the family to establish later.
