Norman L. “Tink” Farel, Jr. 67 of Belvidere, IL passed away early Tuesday morning, February 8, 2022, in rural Boone County of injuries received in an automobile accident.  Tink, as he was affectionally known, was born September 25, 1954, in Belvidere, IL, the son of Norman L. Farel, Sr. and Shirley Rae (Tessman) Farel. He graduated from Belvidere High School and was Baptized and Confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He married Cheryl L. Huss on May 8, 1981, in Belvidere.  Tink adopted and raised Cheryl’s son, Shane, as his own.  He cherished the time he spent with Shane whether it was camping, fishing, riding bikes or motorcycles; or just enjoying the great outdoors. He enjoyed his pool and the pool parties over the years with family and friends. Tink will also be remembered as a loyal and hardworking team member at PBC Linear where he was a machinist.

Tink is loved and will be missed by his wife, Cheryl; father, Norman, Sr., sisters, Sharon (Fred) Thomas and Pamela (Tom) Johnson; grandchildren, Xandra, Mark, and Crystal; great-grandchildren, Conner, Aubrie, and Blair; daughter in-law, Barb Hinde; many nieces and nephews.  Tink is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley; son, Shane; brother and sister in-law, Steve and Trina Farel.

The visitation for Tink will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2022, in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL.  The funeral service will be held at Noon on Tuesday at the funeral home. Rev.
